Boxing Runs In the Blood for Jamie Edwards

Jamie Edwards has left no stone unturned as he makes his professional debut on the under card of the sold-out Ryan Kelly River Wilson-Bent show October 27th at the Holiday Inn in Birmingham.

The 25-year-old lives for boxing and it is a passion that runs deep in his family with his father and brothers also lacing up the gloves.

Just like Friday night’s headliner Wilson-Bent, Edwards hails from the city of Coventry training at the historic and heralded Triumph ABC alongside experienced coach Dinesh Darbar. Edwards fought as an amateur to a high level including winning best youth boxer at the Haringey Box Cup in 2016.

“I have had a lot of time to get prepared for my first fight,” said Edwards. “We have been working really hard in the gym on everything as there is a lot to cover and go through and now, I am just feeling excited to get in there and showcase my skills”.

Edwards is set to box at welterweight, his first bout over four rounds and thinks his fan friendly style will repay the travelling army of fans who will be descending on Birmingham on Friday night.

“I’m overwhelmed with how many people are willing to travel from my city and watch me and I’m going to repay them by putting on a good performance. I just have to do what I do best, keep up the pressure and throw my shots.

“Being on a sold out card for my debut is great, with having such a good main event as it will allow plenty of people to see me box not just my fans”.

Tickets for the Holiday Inn, Birmingham show on October 27th are now sold out so the only way to catch the event is on our official YouTube channel BCB Promotions @UKOBoxing
