Brandon Jones headlined a stacked card at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham, demolishing Borislav Zenkov in five rounds. Jones known as the ‘Bomber’ landed some punishing shots on his Bulgarian opponent, dropping him heavily in the 5th. Zenkov made it to his feet but a quick flurry of punches saw the referee rightly waving the bout off.

Ryan Woolridge made it a fantastic five unbeaten as a professional with a complete shut out of Joe Hardy 60-54. The Bloxwich based southpaw dominated the action against an opponent who came to survive, boxing mostly off the back foot.

Jake Melvin had to climb off the canvas on route to 38-37 victory, in a tricky encounter with Berman Sanchez. All was going as planned for the second generation fighter, easily outworking his Nicaraguan opponent in the opening rounds but a left hand at the end of the second saw Melvin down for the first time as a pro. Unfazed he bounced back finishing the fight strongly deservedly getting the decision.

Mykey Lee Broughton made a successful step up to six rounds going the distance with Liam. It was the 21 year old’s first bout of the year, after a busy 2022 and he looked very sharp, controlling the action behind the jab, taking a 60-54 decision victory.

Kay Jimenez gained more valuable rounds against the evergreen M J Hall, taking a 40-36 decision victory. The Syrian born super welterweight bloodied the nose of Hall and put in another crowd pleasing performance.
