Shergold Has Eyes On The Big Fights

Kristine Shergold is back in action this evening after a three year absence determined to make up for lost time.

She features at the Park Inn Hotel, Northampton, on the evening of Wednesday December 8, as part of a show staged by BCB Promotions.

The Devon-based boxer has her eyes on the big stage and is looking for big fights in 2022 but knows she cannot under estimate tonight’s opponent; Vaida Masiokaite. The Lithuanian took on Natasha Jonas in her last outing – just last month – and Shergold knows that, if she is to earn an opportunity to step in with the likes of Jonas, she has to do a job on Masiokaite tonight.

“It’s been a difficult couple of years because of COVID-19,” Shergold explained. “It’s been hard for everyone but I’ve stayed focused and dedicated and I’m hoping to reap those rewards in the coming months.

“Vaida fought Natasha Jonas last month and gave a good account of herself over six rounds. I want to show people that I’m on the same level as Natasha when I step in with Vaida tonight.

“I’m not getting any younger and want the big fights now. I have the ability and skills to be up there with the best in the division and I plan on putting on a show this evening and showing people what I’m capable of.

“I will be staying in the gym and will be ready for whatever 2022 has in store for me. I’m ready to take my chances when they come my way.”

Tickets for the Park Inn bill are available, priced at £45 for unreserved seating or £80 VIP ringside with a two-course meal, directly from the boxers or by visiting myfighttickets.com.
