On Friday night, BCB fighter Zach Parker made a huge statement knocking out Vaughn Alexander in devastating fashion to become the super middleweight WBO International champion writes Matt Farrington.

After asserting his superiority in the first round, Parker decided to chase a finish and secured it in the second. He is now 20-0 and the mandatory for the WBO belt.

While speaking to BT Sport post fight Neil Marsh managed Parker said;“I’ve got power in both hands, whoever’s in there if I catch them right they’re going to go.“I did it with ease in there, I did it in second gear.

“Everyone has been running and it’s going to get worse now because they’ll be seeing this type of performance.”

With this impressive performance, the 26 year-old is sending out a warning to the elites of the division, and he is knocking on the door of a world title fight as the mandatory challenger to the WBO belt. He insists he can beat Canelo, who he believes will win the WBO belt off Billy Joe Saunders when the pair meet in May.

“When people box and move Canelo doesn’t like it,” he added. “I’m great at that I can hit hard too. I have the power to keep him off.”
