BCB duo Conah Walker and Kirstie Bavington are in action this weekend.
The pair take on Danny Little and Vaida Masiokaite respectively at Aston Villa’s Holte Suite.
“I’m feeling good and happy with how camps gone,” Walker told bcb-promotions.com. “I’ve had a tough eight weeks since the turn of the year.
“I’ve really clicked with new trainer Richard Ghent and the team and I’m happy with the move back to Wolverhampton from Manchester. It’s my home and you can’t beat it.
“I’ve done my apprenticeship now and I’m ready to start looking at big fights but first stop is Aston and the Villa ground this Saturday.”
“I feel I’m getting better technically and becoming more relaxed with my style instead of aggressive,” added Bavington. “It’s been a real long tough camp sparring with top pro women boxers such as Terri Harper, Hannah Rankin, Rhiannon Dixon, Omarah Taylor and Jerry Palmer.
“The support has doubled since my debut 2 years ago so buzzing about that! I’m still teaching PE full time at the Beacon Hill Academy, so mentally it’s been tough to keep disciplined but I’ve done it.
“I’d like to thank all my team for the training and conditioning. I’m ready for anything at the minute.”
Tickets for the TOP Boxing show are available from Conah and Kirstie direct.
