Powar Moves

BCB Promotions will return to the Bescot Stadium on April 26th with a card stacked with some of the Midlands most talented prospects.

Gully Powar has been turning heads while building a solid eight-fight unbeaten record and has grown his profile on televised cards on both Sky Sports and Channel 5. The 21-year-old from Wolverhampton has big aspirations in the sport and is on the hunt for titles at super featherweight.

Heavyweight talent Sonny Clarke has had to wait a little longer than he would have liked for fight number two after an opponent withdrawal forced him off the recent ‘Havoc At The Hangar’ show. The Wolverhampton big man who trains alongside Gully at the Wolverhampton Boxing Club will be looking to take out those frustrations on April 12th.

Former GB amateur Omarah Taylor got her professional career off to a winning start in December with a points win against Ester Konecna. Much is expected of the Joby Clayton-trained super welterweight, who has sparred some of the best boxers on the planet and is one to keep an eye on.

‘Baggie Boy’ Jay Griffiths has been keeping active and gaining valuable experience as he embarks on his journey at middleweight. The 28-year-old from Wombourne will be boxing at the Bescot Stadium for the third time in five months and has been faultless so far, not dropping a single round in four contests.

Jay Jay Tonks has been putting in some hard sessions at the TMA gym under coach Gavin Burrows. His debut came last April, and the 30-year-old from Walsall will be keen to make up for lost time and put in another dominant performance.

Henry Rogerson may not have gotten the win in his debut in February, but he will have gained a lot from his four rounds with Jahfieus Faure. The Crewe-based lightweight will be hoping to secure his first win and give his army of fans, who made plenty of noise last time out, something even more to cheer about.

Tipton’s Danny Skidmore made a successful transition from the white-collar circuit to the pro ranks with a debut win against Paul Scaife in February. The 28-year-old trains under the experienced Jimmy Gould, and the duo will be looking to keep the momentum going in their second outing.

Tickets are available now, priced at £40 unreserved and £80 VIP Ringside, from the boxers directly or by emailing info@bcb-promotions.com.
