0 Taker Denny Dismantles Pauls To Retain English Crown

Tyler Denny continued his rich vein of form with a comprehensive victory over Brad Pauls live on Sky Sports on Saturday evening.

The BCB Promotions’ fighter proved he was levels above Pauls on this Boxxer card as he won virtually every round to record a landslide victory on all three judges cards (97-93, 97-93, 98-93).

Denny defended his English Title once again and, for the fourth opponent on the trot, took away his adversary’s unbeaten record.

Previously undefeated fighters Derrick Osaze, River Wilson-Bent, Brad Rea and now Pauls have all fallen at the fists of the ‘0 Taker’. Those records stoos at 10-0, 12-0, 14-0 and 16-0; 52-0 in total.

Denny must surely now be in line for a mandatory shot at the British Title, at the least, as he continues to be one of the most entertaining fighters in the UK right now.

From the first bell to the last, as with those who went before him, Pauls just couldn’t live with Denny’s pace, energy or engine.

The Rowley Regis boxer once again executed Errol Johnson’s game plan to perfection. On a couple of occasions, notably in the eighth round, Denny looked like he may get the Newquay Bomber out of there early but credit to Pauls who hung on in there to see the final bell at least.

The step up was just to big and Denny moves forward with even more momentum. The Lord Lonsdale belt awaits the likeable Black Country warrior. A lifelong Newcastle fan, Denny will be at Wembley again next weekend hoping for a similar outcome for his beloved Toon Army against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup Final.
