Williams Ready To Go

Kyle Williams in action this weekend

Kyle Williams is determined to cause an upset this weekend when he takes on former champion, Charlie Edwards, live on BT Sports.

Williams, a former Midlands and English Bantamweight Champion, takes on Edwards who has previously campaigned at fly and super fly.

Whilst complimentary of Edwards’ ability, Williams is quietly confident insisting the pressure is all on Edward

“Charlie is an exceptional talent,” he told bcb-promotions.com. “He has achieved a lot as both an amateur and pro.

“He has decent power and is very slick. But he’s expected to win isn’t he? I’ve got none of the pressure. It’s all on him.

“This is a massive opportunity for me, and BCB, to steal the thunder. It’s an exciting platform for myself to be a part of and Errol Johnson deserves every bit of credit for securing me this opportunity.

“It will be a tough night’s work and I’ll have to learn and adapt in there but I have a team around me that will guide me to where I belong.”

Williams, a former world kick boxing champion, has been working alongside his fellow stablemates in the build-up to Saturday’s fight and paid tribute to the spirit in the BCB Camp.

“BCB are not just my team but my family,” he added. “it’s been hell fire but we grow together.

“As Head Coach Paul Mann says, “it never gets easier we just get fitter”

“Other boxers within BCB, they are my friends and stablemates; we work hard together we share blood sweat and usually my tears together. I’ve had great sparring for this fight with Kane Baker, Ijaz Ahmed and Thomas Essomba. We are ready for Saturday.”
