Trio Of Females Headline Latest BCB Show

A trio of females headline BCB Promotions’ first show at a new venue next month.

Rachel Ball, Lauren Johnson and Dani Hodges are all in action – alongside Ryan ‘Stewart’ Davies and Damian Kiwior – as Britain’s fastest growing promotions company move into new terrority.

The five—fight card takes place at the Goldmine Centre, on Lower Hall Lane, in Walsall on Friday, 7th December. The show has been titled ‘Going for Gold at the Goldmine.’ It will be the first show of a triple weekend for BCB, who will be at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday and Birmingham on the Sunday.

Ball is a former kickboxer, from Aldridge, won titles in that calling and is targeting major belts in 2019 after switching sports.

She’s still heavily involved at the Trojan Martial Arts Academy in Brownhills, under the tutelage of chief instructor Gavin Burrows and her partner Todd Harrison.

She’s set her sights on the never-contested Commonwealth crown at super bantam, in a plan to drop down from feather.

Wolverhampton’s Johnson appears for a fourth time, as a pro, after recording three points successes. The last was an eight-rounder to claim a British Challenge welterweight strap.

Hodges, another former kickboxer, has downed two opponents on points since becoming a British Boxing Board of Control licence holder this year.

‘The Pocket Rocket,’ aged 32, is one of the few lady flyweights in the UK and is after a hat-trick of positive paid results.

Tividale’s Davies has bounced back from his first pro defeat with two positive points results and is looking to record his fourth victory of 2018 to complete his year.

He’s registered for the sweet science as ‘Stewart Davies’, using his middle name as his first name as there’s another Ryan Davies in the paid ranks. Another welter completes the card.

Poland-born Kiwior, who lives in Wolverhampton, has four points wins since turning over. He won a host of medals and was a national champion in his homeland as an amateur.

Tickets, priced at £35 standard or £65 VIP ringside with a buffet and waitress service, are on sale and can be purchased by calling 01922 621 951. It will be £40 for entry on the door.

The Grosvenor Casino Walsall, on Bentley Mill Way, are the show’s headline sponsors. They will host the weigh in and after-show party (over 18’s).
